Jewelry is a very personal thing, so we like to get to know our clients. We value the person wearing the jewelry and the story that their treasure tells. Each piece is worked on individually. Our typical client is looking for a personal relationship with their jeweler. Taking the time to establish these relationships helps us meet their needs in a very intimate way.
We talk with each customer to determine what they are looking for. Do they have stones they want to use? Are we supplying stones or other components? How will the piece be worn? The customer’s lifestyle also plays an important role. Is there a history we are honoring?
This gives us a starting point and an idea of which jeweler/designer would be the best match as we all have different styles and strengths. Then we start brainstorming. We look in catalogs, we draw pictures, we pull pieces, parts, and stones to create a visual of some type. This might be as simple as a pencil sketch or as sophisticated as a CAD rendering. As we fine tune the idea, we talk about the materials that will be used, the special care or handling that will be needed in the process and in the wearing and care of the piece.
